Protect your business systems and customer data (US Dealerships)
Cybersecurity is a threat most of you are well familiar with. The FTC Safeguards rule requirements provide for more steps to enhance cybersecurity and are coming into effect on December 9th, 2022. As a first step to compliance, If you're using a network-based MFA solution, you are likely suitably protected with regards to your PBS v10 data.
From Multi-Factor Authentication to Data Encryption and Data Processing Agreements, we have solutions available if required. Based on the systems you conduct business operations with, and the setup of your data network infrastructure, you may have some or all of these items already covered and your plan in place.
The most commonly asked about component of the new rule set is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) which is now available from PBS. It provides an additional layer of security when users access your DMS by utilizing a known email or text number to send a unique identifier for that log in session. If you aren’t going this route, please consider the PBS Multi-Factor Authentication service. The longer you wait, the more vulnerable you are. Avoid devastating breaches and inevitable FTC fines for non-compliance.
We understand that PBS represents only a portion of the overall plan the new rules require you to have in place, as all data and communication sources must be protected, but we wanted to make you aware of our solutions.
AUTHENTICATION METHODS - Fast and Effective
MFA user credentials draw from at least two categories using your choice of text authentication to a mobile device or an email delivered to the user’s account. User identity is verified in seconds.
Choose to add this feature to your existing v10 software suite with flexible licensing. We will also be offering solutions for our other systems (ADAM & D.I.S).
